Celebrating 300 years
It’s 300 years since four London Lodges met to establish the world’s first Grand Lodge for freemasons. Today there are over 6.5 million freemasons worldwide.
2017 is a special year for UGLE as it traces its roots to this historic meeting. Celebrations range from giving a film crew unique access to the people and traditions behind Freemasonry to a year-long programme packed with events. The high point comes in October with a celebration of Freemasonry at the Royal Albert Hall followed by a dinner in Battersea Park. We expect to welcome 4,500 guests.

In September 23rd, 2017 in Almaty was held the Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, in the same year the 300 year anniversary of world regular Freemasonry.

In may 20, 2017 the capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, was consecrated a new regular Masonic Lodge under name “Baiterek”. In the registry Kazakhstan Lodges under the jurisdiction of the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, a new Lodge was assigned the number “4”. In the evening of the same day, a solemn dinner, which was attended by Brothers from other Lodges and their ladies.

Within a few decades, Freemasonry has come and to Russia. The masons included such famous Russian historical figures as Pushkin, Kutuzov, Suvorov, Chaadayev and others.
The consecration of the Grand Lodge in Kazakhstan
In early November of 2016 was a great event in the history of Kazakhstan and the world community there was consecrated the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan. At the event in honor of the opening of the Grand Lodge was attended by guests from different countries. Many of them visited our country for the first time and were delighted with Oriental hospitality. At a solemn dinner made the stars of Kazakhstan. There was filled with popular music pieces of Kazakh composers. A dance troupe made a splash, showing national Kazakh dances with a unique national flavor. The whole evening was filled with the classical music played by a string Quartet. At the end of the cultural program there were performed a jazz duet.

In September 19th, 2015 in Almaty under the jurisdiction of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Russia was consecrated the first in Kazakhstan”s history the Masonic Lodge named of at this Astana Bokeikhan. There were invited guests of honor of Russia (Grand Lodge of Russia), Georgia (Grand Lodge of Georgia) and Belarus. This event shown a new milestone in the development of Kazakhstan Freemasonry became possible thanks to the Most Worshipful Grand Master Andrey Bogdanov, who is the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Russia. “The beginning of the official presence of the Order of Freemasons in the land of Kazakhstan”, – said Andrei Bogdanov in his congratulatory speech at a solemn dinner. Also, he expressed gratitude for the warm reception of the East, and wished prosperity and welfare to all Kazakhstan people. This is the first step towards to the recognition the Kazakhstan by the Freemasonry in the world and regular world chain Fraternity of Freemasons. At the end of the evening there was a concert of Kazakh pop stars where fulfilled with great musical compositions by contemporary composers.
